Dot has been involved in governance and community roles for over 35 years. Currently a Legal Associate and Registered Legal Executive with Moore Law, and the Board Chair of Whanganui District Health Board, she also serves on the national Health Sector Relationship Steering Group.
From 2004-2010, she was Deputy Mayor of Wanganui and for 13 years her predominant business role was as Managing Director of the Kingsgate Hotel. She also serves on the Manawatu-Whanganui Lotteries committee and the Whanganui Community Foundation. A past Polytechnic tutor, School Board of Trustees member, Director of the Aubert Home of Compassion, Legal Services Committee, New Zealand Masters Games Chair and more, Dot has represented a large number of Whanganui organisations.
Dot is married with 3 children, 4 blended family children and 6 grandchildren.

I live in Waverley on a sheep and beef farm with my husband Guy. We have three children who attend school in Wanganui. I have been involved in the Waverley community with the Waverley Racing Club, Border Rugby Club, Waverley Plunket and Waverley Primary School. I play tennis and golf and after playing representative hockey I now coach hockey.
I have a degree in Marketing and Japanese. I have previous worked in Economic Development, tourism, for the NZ Lotteries Commission and taught English in Japan. I have a great appreciation of volunteers and the contributions they make to our community.

Alan is a Chartered Accountant in public practice (since 1977) and is actively involved in numerous sporting organisations in the Taihape District. Having played cricket and rugby for a number of years Alan now plays golf on a regular basis. He is President of the Northern Rangitikei - Waimarino JP Sub Branch having been appointed a JP in 2002. Alan attended Wanganui Boys College before returning home after completing his formal education at Victoria University. He is married to Jan with two university aged daughters.

I have worked in the Printing Trade for 46 years as a Bookbinder and for the last 40 years I have been self employed, our company prides itself on Designing, Commercial Printing and supplying high quality work. My exposure to many organisations over the years has meant I have had the opportunity to be very supportive of many groups. For example, I am a member of Vintage Car Club for 44 years serving on the committee for 37 years including Chairman three times; Rotarian for 33 years including Board Level and have received a Paul Harris Fellowship with Sapphire for services to the Community; Life Member and still on the committee of Wanganui Boy's and Girl's Gym Club, Trustee of Wanganui Tramways, Trustee Wanganui Antiquities, Trustee of the Whanganui River Market Trust, Trustee of the Whanganui Vintage Weekend Trust, Trustee of the G.O.M.E Trust, Trustee Wanganui Branch Manchester Lodge, Member and Publicity Officer for the VCC Rally 2012, an International event, fresh from having 12 successful days in Wanganui. In 2012 I received the highest Vintage Car Club award from the National office for services to the VCC and this year have been the Co-ordinator of the big scrap collect raising over $10 000.00 for Community Projects.

I came to Whanganui to complete my sporting career twenty five years ago and now proudly call Whanganui home. I have a professional background as a medical radiation technologist (radiographer) but have also worked in sport management and now manage my husband's Osteopathy practice. We have two teenage children who are schooled in Whanganui and now passionate and committed young rowers themselves.
I have been an elected member of the Whanganui District Health Board, Councillor on the Whanganui District Council, Chair and member of the Whanganui Community Foundation as well as establishing and Chairing the Future Champions Trust, to assist our promising young sportspeople reach international honours. I am a former triple World Champion Rower, double Olympian and Halberg Award winner and are passionate about sport and recreation and the benefits of a safe, connected and thriving community.

I was born in Hunterville, educated at Hunterville Primary School then to Wanganui for secondary schooling. Came back to the farm and started farming on my own account in 1972. Have been involved in numerous committees and sports organisations both in Hunterville and the wider community. I am currently on the committee’s of the Rangatira Golf Club and Marton Jockey Club. Play golf most Saturdays and also Thursday’s when time permits. Also compete at clay target shooting. Married to Anne with two adult children and a grandchild.
